Mark Walter

Mark was appointed Director of the University Scholarship Office at UNC Charlotte in May 2014. He received his undergraduate degree in Public Affairs from the State University of New York at Oswego and earned his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Marist College in Poughkeepsie. Prior to joining UNC Charlotte, Mark directed the state’s service and civic engagement portfolio in the New York Governor’s Office. He has held senior positions in the area of fund development, contract management, and program administration with several national philanthropic organizations. Mark is originally from Syracuse, NY and currently resides in Charlotte, NC.
