Dates and Deadlines

 

  • New freshmen and transfer students must be accepted and activate their NinerNET account before they can login to NinerScholars.
  • Most scholarships are awarded in April and May for the following academic year.

August 1, 2021

  • Admission application opens. 
  • Applying for admission does not automatically qualify you for scholarships. For scholarship eligibility, you must apply in the NinerScholars portal.
  • Students must be accepted to UNC Charlotte before they can apply for scholarships.

Late October

  • Scholarship application opens in NinerScholars Portal.

December 15

  • Honors College Priority Deadline
  • Be sure you have submitted all letters of recommendation, essays, or other documentation by this date.

January 1, 2022

  • FAFSA Early Notification Deadline. If you submit your FAFSA and all required documents by this date, you will receive your financial aid offer notification by March 1. 
  • For maximum consideration for need-based scholarship eligibility, submit your FAFSA by January 1.

March 1

  • Deadline for most scholarships for incoming freshmen. 
  • Be sure you have submitted all letters of recommendation, essays, or other documentation uploaded by this date.

April 1

  • Deadline for most graduate level scholarships administered by The Graduate School or Graduate Programs.

  • Most scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year are awarded. 
  • Check the NinerScholars Portal and University Scholarship Office website for specific deadlines and status updates.

  • Deadline for scholarships open to Non-traditional and Transfer students.
